Happy Rebel remix contest 2008

The Happy Rebel remix contest 2008 is already over. Thanks to everyone who's been participating!

We're inviting other artists to join our contest and remix/cover one of our songs: "Happy Rebel"
All genres are welcome, and we even provide the separate tracks for sampling.

The winning song will be the bonus track on our new album.

The fun part:

You (an individual or band) can cover or remix one of our songs "Happy Rebel" in any style you like (actually, we encourage you to be creative and make a cover-version of Happy Rebel that sounds totally different from our original one). It's up to you!
If you feel like making more than one version: please do!

For recording use whatever equipment is at your hand: If you only have a tape recorder - fine. If you're able to record it somehow with better quality - good! We're not picky.

The gain:

A jury will elect the coolest cover version and we'll put this "winner" on our new album as a bonus track. This means that you/your band will be automatically promoted by us.

The deadline & handing it in:

Please hand in your Happy-Rebel-cover-versions until May 31st, 2008 23:59.

When you're interested in joining our little cover contest, please write us a short mail and we'll give you details about how and where you can upload the final song (please do *not* email them...).

The sampling tracks:

The individual tracks for remixing are available in lossy Ogg Vorbis and MP3 format, in the highest resolution available - as well as losslessly compressed as FLAC:

The overall tempo of the song is 130 BPM.

There are some things regarding licensing you should need to know (and agree to) before you start:

• Our songs and tracks are licensed under the Creative Commons "non-commercial (NC), attribute (BY), share-alike (SA)" license. This means that your cover/remix song will also be licensed under the same conditions.
  This means that the song you'll make can also be shared freely under these conditions. If you're uncomfortable with that, we're sorry. :(
• You must agree that we put your track on our CD, since that CD will be sold and thus would violate the "non commercial" part of the license. We're selling our CDs with very little financial gain, so please don't expect any wealth from this project. It's a fun thing only.
